The ADC0831 is an 8-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It uses the successive approximation method for conversion. The ADC0831 has a serial input/output (I/O) interface and configurable input multiplexers that allow for up to 8 input channels to be selected. ADC0831 can sample and convert analog signals from multiple input sources, making it suitable for applications where multiple channels need to be monitored. The above diagram shows a system in which the ADC0831 device receives analog data from lm335. The controller is used to control ADC IC and to process the converted digital data. The analog signal is given at pin Vin(+). In differential mode, the voltage at pin Vin(+) must be greater than Vin(-) otherwise output data will not be generated by the ADC.
