Application Circuit Diagram

The following image shows the typical application circuit for the TEMT6000.

TEMT6000 Circuit Diagram

The TEMT6000 can be powered from both 3.3V or 5.0V. The signal output is pulled down with the 10K resistor connected to ground, thus making a voltage divider. he TEMT600 acts as one of the resistors in the divider network. When light illuminates the surface of the phototransistor, the resistance value undergoes alterations, consequently affecting the voltage on the SIG pin. In order to measure illuminance and light intensity, an Arduino or similar microcontroller is employed to read and interpret the obtained value. This enables the accurate assessment of the surrounding light conditions.
