SGM2019 Linear Voltage Regulator
The SGM019 series are low-power, low-noise, low-dropout CMOS linier voltage regulator from SGMicro. They are available in nine fixed voltage (1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.6V, 2.8V, 2.85V, 3.0V and 3.3V) output variants and an adjustable variant (Adjustable Output from 1.2V to 5.0V). Very low quotient current and shutdown mode current(10nA) makes it perfect for battery powered systems. It can provide a current up to 300mA with a very low dropout voltage of 270mV. Applications such as RF systems can also benefit from the SG2019’s ultra-low output noise (30µVRMS) and high PSRR. An external noise bypass capacitor connected to the device’s BP pin can further reduce the noise level. The SGM2019 is available in both SOT-23-5 and SC70-5 packages.
SGM2019 Pinout Configuration
|Regulator Input. Supply voltage can range from 2.5V to 5.5V. Bypass with a 1μF
capacitor to GND.
|Shutdown Input. A logic low reduces the supply current to 10nA. Connect to IN for
|Reference-Noise Bypass (fixed voltage version only). Bypass with a low leakage
0.01μF ceramic capacitor for reduced noise at the output.
|Adjustable Voltage Version Only. This is used to set the output voltage of the device.
How to Identify SG2019 Variant
SG2019 LDOs comes with the marking in the following format YJxx, where xx indica Ground. tes the output voltage. For example, for 3.3V variant the marking will be YJ33. Similarly for 1.8V variant the marking will be YJ18.

The following image shows the typical application circuit for the SGM2019.
As you can see the circuit is very simple and only requires bare minimum components. 1Uf capacitors are used for input and output filtering. A 100nF capacitor is connected to the BP pin for noise reduction. With adjustable variant, the bypass capacitor on BP/FB pin will be replaced with a voltage divider from the output, to set the output voltage.
