Where to use 2SC1061
2SC1061 is a NPN Power transistor commonly used in amplifier designs. Based on the model of the transistor the gain of the transistor varies between 35 to 320. The below table from datasheet can help you identify the gain value of your transistor based on the part number.
It also has a high collector current of 3A and a collector to emitter voltage of 50V making it suitable for high power audio amplifier circuits. Since the transistor also has its PNP counterpart 2SA671. Both the transistor is used in Class B amplifier design. The Transistor has a low transition frequency of only 5MHz and hence cannot be used in high speed switching or high frequency amplifiers.
The gain of the transistor also depends on the Collector Emitter voltage and Collector Current of the transistor. As the collector current increase the gain decreases the below graph can be used to calculate the gain value based on collector current.
Applications
- Class B amplifier designs
- Low Frequency Audio amplifier
- High Power audio amplifier
- Large signal amplification
- General purpose switching.
