High-Speed Optocouplers for Fast and Interference-Resistant Signal Transmission
Würth Elektronik is expanding its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of the WL-OCHS high-speed optocoupler. This component is specifically engineered for high-speed digital signal transmission between circuit sections that require galvanic isolation. It supports a wide range of data rates, from 1 MBd up to 10 MBd, while providing robust isolation with an isolation voltage of up to 5000 VRMS and high EMC immunity.
The WL-OCHS optocoupler differentiates itself by offering significantly lower signal delay compared to conventional optocouplers, thanks to its short switching times ranging from 100 ns to 1500 ns. Its high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) ensures reliable signal transmission even in electrically noisy environments with rapid input/output voltage changes. Furthermore, the series features a copper leadframe, which enhances its resistance to corrosion and environmental influences, thereby improving the overall robustness of the device.
