Littelfuse Launches Compact IXD0579M Gate Driver IC with Integrated Bootstrap for Brushless Motors and Power Tools
Littelfuse has introduced the new IXD0579M high-speed gate driver IC, a compact and efficient solution for driving N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs in half-bridge configurations. Packaged in a small 3×3 mm², this device integrates a bootstrap diode and current limit resistor, removing the need for additional external components. This will reduce the need for additional components and helps to make space constrained designs with lower BOM cost and simplify the PCB layout.
It can operate on a wide range from 6.5 V to 18 V, the IXD0579M delivers strong performance with 1.5 A source and 2.5 A sink drive currents, making it well-suited for high-frequency switching in BLDC motor drives, power tools, DC-DC converters, and general industrial equipment.
It is logic-level compatible, includes cross-conduction protection, and has ultra-low standby current, offering users an energy-efficient solution. This new product strengthens its power control portfolio while offering design flexibility and supply chain stability for engineers..
