Where to use EV1527 Encoder IC
The IC EV1527 can be used in many different applications. This IC comes with a 20-bit one-time programmable encoder that utilizes a CMOS processor, with a pair of decoder IC it can be used in a variety of different applications, it’s a 20-bit encoder IC that means it can transmit 20-bit data with a compatible decoder pair, to ensure that the encode and the decoder does not interfere with each other in a there is a 4-bit address which ensures optimal communication in between an encoder and decoder, With 4-bit data, we can create 16 types (24 = 16) of combinations these IC’s are commonly used with RF pairs or IR pairs. So, if you are working on a project which has to transmit 4-bit data from one end to another either by wire or wireless then this IC pair will be best suited for you. A pinout of the IC is shown below.
The list of oscillator calibration resistors of the devices is shown below

How to use EV1527 Encoder IC
We can use this IC for many different applications, like RF communication, encoding and decoding in embedded applications, and more. A basic application circuit of this IC is shown below.
In the above example, we have used the EV1527 IC to make a RF encoder circuit. Four buttons are used to set the address of the device, after acquiring the address from the IC it drives a RF transistor and the transistor drives a tank circuit, this is how the circuit works.
