Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has launched the TCKE9 Series, a new lineup of eight compact high-voltage electronic fuses (eFuse ICs) designed to provide advanced protection for power supply lines. The initial products, the TCKE903NL and TCKE905ANA, are now available for shipment, with additional models set to follow. This innovative series introduces multiple functions that extend beyond the capabilities of traditional physical fuses, offering robust protection against overcurrent and overvoltage conditions.

The TCKE9 Series integrates current limit and voltage clamp functions, ensuring that power supply circuits maintain specified current and voltage levels even under abnormal conditions. These eFuse ICs are equipped with over-temperature and short-circuit protection features, which immediately shut down the IC if excessive heat or a short circuit is detected. This design not only enhances circuit safety but also simplifies circuit design by reducing the need for complex components and discrete protection devices, resulting in more compact and efficient circuit layouts.
