Advanced Automotive Grade ESD Protection Diode for High-Speed Ethernet Applications
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced the VETH100A1DD1, a new Automotive Grade bidirectional single-line ESD protection diode optimized for automotive Ethernet networks, including applications in industrial automation systems, consumer entertainment devices, home appliances, fixed telecom infrastructure, and medical instrumentation. Packaged in the compact DFN1006-2B with wettable flanks, this diode is compliant with OPEN Alliance 100Base-T1 and 1000Base-T1 specifications. It features a low clamping voltage of 31 V at 1 A, achieved through advanced snap-back technology, and offers low dynamic resistance of 0.4 Ω and minimal capacitance of 2 pF, ensuring robust protection and high signal integrity.
The VETH100A1DD1 provides transient protection per ISO 10605 and IEC 61000-4-2 at ± 15 kV for 1000 pulses, and is available in an AEC-Q101 version for automotive applications with a working voltage of ± 24 V. With a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) of 1 in accordance with J-STD-020 and a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, the diode is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and supports automated optical inspection (AOI) for automotive systems.
