10 Watt DC/DC Converter with Smaller Footprint

Traco Power launched two new series TEL 10 & TEL 10WI of isolated 10 Watt converters which come in an ultra-compact DIP-16 metal package. The most compact design ensures miniaturization low power DC/DC converters to the maximum without sacrificing high efficiency. The new DC/DC converters offer power density of 3,83W/cm3.

The TEL 10 & TEL 10WI series comes in a wide 2:1 or 4:1 input voltage range and feature a high efficiency of up to 87% enabling an operation temperature of up to +70°C at full load and up to 88°C with 50% load. The devices can efficiently operate between temperature ranges of -40°C to +88°C with low thermal loss which further increases the efficiency of the DC/DC converter. 

The TEL 10 & TEL 10WI series converter offer an internal input filter to comply with conducted emission standard EN 55032 class A. The devices are built to provide protection against short circuit which adds another safety feature and 6-side shielded metal case with insulated baseplate ensures the product durability. The devices meets the requirement of an economical solution for space critical and cost sensitive applications in instrumentation, IT and industrial electronics.
