Infineon Technologies AG has expanded its PSOC™ Control family with the introduction of the PSOC™ Control C3 Main Line PSC3M/P6 microcontrollers (MCUs). Announced on October 19, 2026, in Munich, Germany, these new MCUs are designed to combine real-time motor and power control performance with advanced security features, all within a versatile and cost-optimized design.

The PSC3M/P6 MCUs are engineered to manage up to four brushless DC motors using a single microcontroller, supporting both sensored and sensorless configurations. They are tailored to meet diverse design requirements across motor-control, power-conversion, and general-purpose applications, including systems that demand specific power topologies and robust security capabilities.

A key differentiator of these devices is their compliance with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) requirements for firmware protection, as outlined in the Commercial National Security Algorithm (CNSA) Suite 2.0. Furthermore, they support Platform Security Architecture (PSA) Level 3 enablement. Infineon highlights that these security features address the evolving needs of industrial applications, facilitate the transition to enhanced security in the PQC era, and aid in compliance with regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

This product family integrates an Arm® Cortex®-M33-based MCU, operating at speeds up to 180 MHz, with real-time event response capabilities. It supports quad-motor control, power factor correction (PFC), and very high-RPM motor-control systems. Infineon also emphasizes wide-bandgap readiness, precise analog processing, digital control, and a high degree of functional integration for power supply units, offering a scalable and compatible portfolio across various features, packages, pinouts, memory, software, and performance.
