Nordic Semiconductor Continues nRF54L Series Expansion with New Multiprotocol SoC
Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, has unveiled the nRF54LC10A System-on-Chip (SoC). This new entry-level device expands the nRF54L Series, providing comprehensive multiprotocol support including Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), Bluetooth Channel Sounding, Thread, Zigbee, and Matter.
The nRF54LC10A is designed to meet aggressive size and cost targets for developers creating small, cost-sensitive connected products. It aims to eliminate the traditional trade-offs in this category, allowing for advanced protocols, robust security features, and a full software ecosystem without compromise.
As the smallest, ultra-low-power multiprotocol SoC in the nRF54L Series, the nRF54LC10A integrates a simple MCU with a multiprotocol radio into a compact 1.9 × 2.3 mm chip-scale package. It features 1 MB of Non-Volatile Memory, 192 KB of RAM, and a peripheral set tailored for straightforward connected applications. Its advanced security, including Arm TrustZone isolation and physical attack protection, along with support for FOTA and nRF Cloud services, ensures products remain secure and maintainable in the field.
