Analog Devices Launches ADRF5703 Wideband Silicon

Analog Devices has significantly enhanced its RF/microwave component portfolio with the introduction of the ADRF5703 silicon digital attenuator. This innovative product is specifically engineered for communications and military engineers, offering precise signal level control, excellent linearity, and high-power performance within a compact footprint.

A key differentiator of the ADRF5703 is its incredibly broad operating frequency range, spanning from 9 kHz to 20 GHz. At its core, the device features an advanced 7-bit design, fabricated using cutting-edge silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology. This enables an impressive 31.75 dB attenuation range with a fine step increment of 0.25 dB, providing 128 distinct attenuation levels for unmatched system gain control flexibility.

Beyond its wide frequency and precise attenuation capabilities, the ADRF5703 delivers critical performance metrics such as low insertion loss, high attenuation accuracy (absolute error not exceeding ±4%), and a rapid RF amplitude settling time of just 1 µs. Its robust power handling and high linearity, exemplified by an Input IP3 of 55 dBm typical, further solidify its position as a high-performance solution for demanding RF applications.
