RECOM Introduces 90 W DIN Rail PSU with 150% Surge Output and Low Noise
RECOM has introduced a 90W DIN rail PSU that can output 150% for 4.5 seconds for temporary loads. It takes inputs from 85 to 276VAC and is rated OVC II at altitudes up to 5000m. It operates in a constant-current mode under overload and outputs 24VDC, which can be increased to 29VDC. It is a limited power source (LPS) that’s rated NEC Class 2 as per UL1310.
It operates safely in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. The unit is designed to keep humming or buzzing sounds to a minimum and has a power conversion efficiency of 93.6% which keeps heat generation low and better MTBF/lifetime ratings. Michael Schrutka, MSc. product manager AC/DC of RECOM, says, “This 90W DIN rail AC/DC is the current flagship of our REFIN range with a great combination of value, performance, and easy system integration”.
The step-profiled PSU is 36mm broad and weighs 151g. Along with the snap-on DIN rail mounting and push-in electrical connections, it also comes with extending mounting flanges that make it possible to screw or attach it to a panel as well. The device has low no-load losses and complies with IEC/EN EMC regulations. Pricing for the REFIN2U‑S90/24/CL varies from around $58 per unit for single-piece orders to about $44.70 per unit for bulk purchases.
