Diodes Incorporated has introduced a 3A-rated low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator, the AP7179D designed to provide power for components. This product boasts 4.4µVRMS operation at 0.8V output, making it suitable for applications demanding precision and minimal noise interference.
This LDO voltage regulator boasts performance metrics, including ±1% output accuracy across line, load, and temperature variations. Its 180mV maximum dropout voltage at a 3A load current provides a voltage conversion range, ensuring stability in operating conditions. The reference and error amplifier contribute to a noise floor, while the power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) at 500kHz reduces the coupling of input supply noise to the output.
