These components are specifically designed for effective EMI / RFI suppression and filtering in diverse industrial environments. A key differentiator of this series is its surface-mount casing, which significantly reduces board space requirements by up to 40% compared to previous-generation devices, thereby enabling greater product miniaturization across various applications.
The SMDY1…S series features a robust Y1 rating of 300 VAC and 1500 VDC. This rating allows the capacitors to bridge double or reinforced insulation, and they are also suitable for use in DC networks up to 1500 VDC, in accordance with IEC standard Annex H. Beyond their compact design and high voltage capabilities, these capacitors offer enhanced performance with superior insulation resistance and a wider operating temperature range than industry standards, ensuring high reliability in demanding conditions.
The surface-mount design of the SMDY1…S series streamlines manufacturing processes by supporting pick and place assembly with reflow soldering.
