The New Series of Nch MOSFETs with High-Efficiency Operation for Motor Drive and Industrial Power Supplies

New Series of Nch MOSFETs
New Series of Nch MOSFETs

ROHM has introduced the RS6xxxxBx / RH6xxxxBx series, consisting of 13-part numbers, which are N-channel MOSFETs with voltage ratings ranging from 40V to 150V. These MOSFETs are specifically designed for applications operating on 24V, 36V, and 48V power supplies, including base stations, servers, and motors used in industrial and consumer equipment.

With the adoption of copper clip connections and improved gate structure, ROHM has achieved a significant reduction in power losses. These new MOSFETs exhibit RDS(on) of 2.1mΩ, which is approximately 50% lower than conventional MOSFETs. This improvement in device performance, along with the utilization of the HSOP8/HSMT8 package featuring low-resistance copper clip connections, contributes to the reduction in power losses.

Furthermore, the enhanced gate structure of these MOSFETs, resulted in the reduction of approximately 40% in Qgd compared to conventional products leading to decreased switching and conduction losses, significantly improving overall application efficiency.
