SVRPL3R306SG Point of Load DC-DC Converter for Harsh Radiation Environment in Space
VPT has announced the availability of space-grade SVRPL3R306SG point-of-load DC-DC converter Engineering models. The SVRPL series can operate at a full military temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C with no power derating. They can also operate in the harsh radiation environment of space applications.
The SVPL series is characterized for Total Ionizing Dose (TID) performance including Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (ELDRS) and Single Event Effects (SEE) per VPT’s DLA-approved Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) plan per MIL-PRF-3834, Appendix G, and Level R.
The SVPL3R306SG has been designed based on the Intersil ISL70001ASEH radiation-hardened monolithic buck regulator. Operating at a voltage range between 3.1 to 5.5 V, the converter can deliver low voltages up to 0.8 to 3.8 V at 6A with 95% high efficiency and fast transient response; hence is suitable for point-of-load applications such as high-performance space processors.
