New Low-Power Op Amp LMR1901YG-M Designed to Minimize Current Consumption
ROHM has developed a linear operational amplifier (op amp) named LMR1901YG-M, which boasts the lowest current consumption in the industry. This op amp is designed specifically for amplifying sensor signals used in applications that require accurate detection and measurement of parameters like temperature, flow rate, and gas concentration, particularly in devices powered by internal batteries. Leveraging their Nano Energy™ technology, ROHM has achieved the lowest current consumption in the market with the LMR1901YG-M.
The LMR1901YG-M is an op-amp designed with ultra-low current consumption (only 160nA typical), making it 38% more efficient than other low-power op amps. This significantly extends battery life in devices like electronic shelf labels and smartphones. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range (-40°C to +105°C), suitable for applications like fire alarms and environmental sensors. Key features of the LMR1901YG-M include a 45% reduction in input offset voltage (0.55mV maximum at 25°C) compared to typical low-current op amps, ensuring precise sensor signal amplification. It can operate with a supply voltage between 1.7V and 5.5V and supports rail-to-rail input/output, making it versatile for use in various industrial and consumer electronic devices. Additionally, it meets the automotive reliability standard AEC-Q100, ensuring stable operation even in challenging environments like vehicle cabins.
