New "K" Series Pinned DC/DC Converters with Up to 30W Power Rating and Wide Input Ranges
RECOM introduces the latest "K" series of pinned DC/DC converters, featuring up to a 30W power rating and wide input ranges in a compact 1” x 1” x 0.4” package. This series includes the REC10K, REC20K, and REC30K models, offering 10W, 20W, and 30W outputs, respectively. These converters support input ranges of 4:1, 9-36V, and 18-75VDC, and provide various regulated outputs: 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/-5V, +/-12V, +/-15V, and +/-24V (specific to the REC10K). The REC30K also offers a 2:1, 36-75VDC input option for increased efficiency. The single outputs can be trimmed by +/-10%, and an on/off control feature is included. The converters have 'functional' grade isolation of 2kVDC for 1 minute (1.6kVDC for the REC10K), in accordance with IEC/EN/UL62368-1 standards.
They operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, with derating (up to 100°C for the REC10K). External filters specified in the data sheets enable compliance with conducted EMC ‘Class A and B’ levels. These converters include protection against input undervoltage, output over-current, over-voltage, and short circuits, and have an MTBF of up to 1.5 million hours at 25°C according to MILHBK-217-F standards. They are suitable for applications in building and home automation, datacom and telecom, energy systems, industrial automation, and test and measurement, where cost efficiency and high power density are required without compromising performance or reliability.
