Low Power, High Performance Single Board Computer powered by Intel Atom for Embedded/IoT Applications
Advanced Micro Peripherals has introduced the MicroATOM, a highly integrated single-board computer powered by a 4th Generation Intel Atom processor for offering a range of expansion options for providing high performance and rugged embedded systems. Available in the industrial standard PCI/104-Express form factor module the MicroATOM offers both PCI Express and traditional 32bit PCI interfaces.
The memory units include the 2Gbytes of DDR3 SDRAM and an onboard 16Gbyte solid-state eMMC Flash drive for applications and data storage, apart from these and high-speed SATA drive interface can be used to provide off-board data storage. The Dual Gigabit Ethernet Interfaces provide extensive connectivity options and the single miniPCIe slot allows wireless Ethernet or high-speed mobile broadband to be easily added to an embedded system.
With the absence of a built-in display the MicroATOM can be used in deeply embedded, power-constrained headless systems often found in IoT applications. MicroATOM can be used in various applications, such as industrial automation controller, portable test equipment, mission computers, backbone communication routers, point-of-sale and kiosk applications, embedded internet/intranet appliance, and also in rugged harsh environment applications.
