Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has expanded its lineup of IHPT solenoid-based haptic actuators with five new models: IHPT1207AGELR39AB0, IHPT1710ACEL1R2AB0, IHPT1411AFELR73AB0, IHPT1614ACEL2R7BB0, and the AEC-Q200 qualified IHPT1411AFELR73ABA. These actuators, licensed by Immersion Corporation, offer additional sizes and force levels, operating at 12 V for automotive and commercial applications like LCD displays, touchscreens, touch switches, and button control panels. They provide high pulse and vibration capability, delivering high-definition (HD) tactile feedback for human-machine interfaces (HMI) in diverse environments.

Among the new models, the AEC-Q200 qualified IHPT1411AFELR73ABA is suited for automotive controls like electronic shift transmissions and steering wheels, while other devices target consumer appliances, military equipment, and factory automation systems. Offering lower costs and reduced component height compared to competing technologies, these RoHS-compliant, halogen-free devices provide efficient, customizable haptic solutions without the need for additional high voltage circuitry.

Available in sizes ranging from 29 mm by 21 mm to 44 mm by 37 mm, these actuators deliver force outputs of up to 120 N. Their compact, two-piece design includes mounting holes for easy installation. With a fast 5 ms response time and operating voltages from 8 V to 16 V, they generate precise haptic effects, making them ideal for rugged environments where audio feedback is insufficient. Built with a robust copper and iron core, they offer reliable performance even at high temperatures up to 105°C.
