i6A4W – High efficiency Non-isolated DC-DC Power Converter

The TDK Corporation announced the addition of the TDK-Lambada brand i6A4W SIP (Single Inline Package to the popular i6A series of 250W non-isolated DC-DC converters. This new converter will require a small board area of less than 3 cm2 , which is a 60% space saving than the i6A 1/16th brick package.The 10 to 20A rated step-down converter can accept input voltages between 9 and 53V. The i6A4W series allows the creation of multiple, high current output voltage from a single output 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V AC-DC Power supply. This is suitable for applications such as communications, industrial test and measurements, broadcast and portable equipments.

 

The converter has an optimized dynamic voltage response which reduces the need for external capacitors and reduced the cost With the overall dimensions of 33mm x 11.4mm x 24.8mm (L x W x H)

Other standard features include a trim pin for output voltage adjustment, + remote sense, remote on-off (positive or negative logic), input under-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.  Power good, operating frequency synchronization and output sequencing are also available as options.
