Hybrid Digital Multiphase Controller with SMBus Digital Interface designed for Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake Notebook Platforms
Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited has introduced a new 6 phase controller AOZ71026QI that provides two output rails in flexible 4/3/2/1 and 2/1 phase configurations and is designed to meet Intel IMVP 8, 9, 9.1, and 9.2 specifications. This new device offers a novel AOS Advanced Transient Modulation and is suitable for applications Notebook computers, Memory and graphic cards, and Video game consoles. Moreover, this controller offers real-time telemetry information via SMBus for VIN, VOUT, temperature, output currents, power states, as well as PSYS / VSYS / IAUX pins reporting via SMBus.
The AOZ71026QI controller is equipped with SMBus digital Interface enabling register programming for tuning and configuration to minimize the system components and eliminate the need for manual solder rework on the system board. It comes in a 6 mm x 6 mm 48-pin QFN package and provides MTP to store register settings once the configuration is finalized.
