BiAs Single-Line ESD Protection Diode with Low Capacitance for Commercial and Automotive Applications
Vishay Intertechnology has released a new BiAs single-line ESD protection diode “VCUT0714BHD1”, which offers low capacitance and leakage current for the protection of high-speed data lines against transient voltage signals. This Device in a compact DFN1006-2A package with side-wettable terminals is good for interface protection in commercial applications and is also available in an AEC-Q101 qualified version for automotive applications. This space-saving solution in SOT packages offers a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) of 1 in accordance with J-STD-020 and a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
The protection diode features a working voltage range of -7V to +14V or -14V to +7V, a breakdown voltage of 7.3V or 14.5V typical at 1mA, and a low load capacitance down to 8pF. The VCUT0714BHD1 Diode has a maximum clamping voltage of 15V at 3.6A or 30V at 2A and provides transient protection for one data line as per IEC 61000‑4‑2 at ± 25kV (contact) and ± 30kV (air) discharge.
