Littelfuse has released a 400PV Fuse series of 2410 size surface mount design (SMD) circuit protection component that offers low resistance for photovoltaic (PV) applications. The devices in the series are designed to address the latest trend in solar roofing by enabling PV shingles that integrate both the shingles with the PV cells while incorporating protection that meets the UL 248-19 standard for PV applications.
The devices help in eliminating mounting separate solar panels over the existing roofing, thereby allowing the use of the new integrated PV shingles to serve in a dual function. The 400PV Fuse series innovation enables the next generation of smart home designs to utilize photovoltaic roof shingles to power up everything in a house that requires power.
The protection provided by these PV fuses helps ensure the operational longevity, maintenance convenience, and safety of solar home and building applications. The 400PV Fuse series offers these key benefits like compliant with UL 248-19 standard for photovoltaic (PV) power systems design.
