Infineon Unveils €5 Billion Dresden Smart Power Fab, Bolstering EU Chip Sovereignty
Infineon has opened its new €5 billion smart power semiconductor fab in Dresden, Germany, three months ahead of schedule. This facility will produce chips for EVs, renewables, industrial applications, and AI data centers, doubling Infineon's Dresden capacity and significantly boosting Europe's domestic chip manufacturing capabilities under the EU Chips Act.
