Vishay Sample Kits Simplify Device Selection and Validation
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced four new thick-film resistor sample kits designed to streamline component selection and validation for high-power designs. These kits are engineered to accelerate time to market by providing comprehensive, evaluation-ready solutions for engineers and developers.
Each kit includes surface-mount, automotive-grade devices available in TO-252 (DPAK) and TO-263 (D2PAK) packages. A key differentiator of these kits is their high power ratings, offering 20 W and 35 W devices, along with a wide range of resistance values. An optional PCB test board is also available to facilitate fast and reliable electrical and thermal evaluation.
The high power density of the resistors within these kits allows designers to minimize the number of parallel resistors or larger through-hole devices typically required, thereby conserving valuable board space. Furthermore, all resistors included are AEC-Q200 qualified, which eliminates the need for additional component qualification during the development phase, making them ideal for automotive, industrial, and other high-reliability applications.
