Semtech Expands LoRa Plus™ Family: LR2022 and LR2012 Now in Production
Semtech Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance semiconductors for AI data center networking and intelligent IoT devices, has announced the production availability of the LR2022 and LR2012 transceivers. These new devices expand the company's LoRa Plus family, bringing the portfolio to three production-ready transceivers, including the existing LR2021.
The LR2022 and LR2012 are designed to address a comprehensive range of IoT application requirements. They support diverse deployment types, from cost-optimised sub-GHz sensors to advanced global multi-band tracking solutions that incorporate satellite connectivity, including Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN).
A key differentiator is their shared fourth-generation LoRa® IP core, which ensures backward compatibility with established LoRaWAN®, LR-FHSS, and legacy OOK devices. This common IP core, combined with best-in-class radio performance and extended data rates, positions the LR2022 and LR2012 as versatile solutions for modern IoT ecosystems, enabling high-speed burst data transmissions within a low-power envelope.
