Vishay Intertechnology TSOP15300 Series IR Receivers
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced the new Vishay Semiconductors TSOP15300 series of infrared (IR) receiver modules, specifically designed for IR remote control applications. These devices are engineered to receive and demodulate all major remote control codes currently available on the market, offering a comprehensive solution for universal remote control functionality within a single component.
A key differentiator of the TSOP15300 series is its wide modulation frequency acceptance, ranging from 30 kHz to 68 kHz. This broad compatibility addresses a common limitation of standard IR receivers, which are typically tuned to a single center frequency. By overcoming this, the new Vishay receivers reduce the need for multiple devices, thereby lowering system costs and conserving valuable board space in various electronic designs.
These IR receiver modules are particularly suited for a wide array of consumer electronics, including televisions, audio systems, gaming consoles, soundbars, set-top boxes (STB), and video projectors. They are built with robust immunity features, protecting against ripple noise and interference from common sources such as IR emissions from CFL lamps and LCD televisions, as well as RF emissions from onboard Wi-Fi antennas.
