Advanced Energy Launches AIH03ZPFC

Advanced Energy Industries has introduced the AIH03ZPFC, a novel 1100 Watt half-brick power factor correction (PFC) module. This product is specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of the industrial sector, addressing the constant need for size reduction, improved thermal capacity, and enhanced electrical efficiency in power systems.

The AIH03ZPFC module sets a new benchmark for performance, featuring a controlled non-isolated output of 390 VDC. It boasts a peak efficiency of 97.3 per cent, which represents a 2.3 per cent improvement over Advanced Energy's previous generation of PFC modules and results in a significant 46 per cent reduction in power loss. This leap in efficiency contributes directly to energy savings and operational cost reduction.

Beyond efficiency, the new module revolutionizes space utilization with an impressive power density of 380 watts per cubic inch. This marks a substantial 44 per cent increase from older models, enabling greater power delivery within a smaller footprint. Despite its compact half-brick design, which traditionally limits functionality, the AIH03ZPFC integrates a wide array of advanced features, offering universal adaptability and robust performance across various operating environments.
