PSOC Control C3 Microcontrollers offer 180 MHz Processing and Real-Time Control Features for Industrial and Automotive Applications
Infineon unveiled microcontrollers that are built for high-performance motor control and power conversion systems. With a powerful Arm Cortex-M33 processor, it offers high speed, precision, and security for applications such as industrial, domestic, EV, and robotics.
PSOC Control C3 MCUs work at the speed of 180 MHz, giving rapid response while working on a task. These MCUs can process complex calculations as they feature a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Floating-Point Unit (FPU), and a hardware accelerator (CORDIC), ensuring smooth operation of the system. Infineon has released two types of products, one for the main line and the other for the entry line: Entry line offers precise control using high-resolution A/D converters and timers. Meanwhile, the Main Line has advanced features like High Resolution Pulse Width Modulation (HRPWM), which will increase the performance and enable faster switching in demanding systems.
Infineon's PSOC Control C3 MCUs provide IP protection as they are PSA Certified Level 2, have crypto accelerators, TrustZone, and ensure secure firmware updates. Supported by ModusToolbox, it simplifies the optimization, system evaluation, and performance monitoring by the developers.
