LRF4W SMT Shunt Resistors

TT Electronics has released the LRF4W SMT shunt resistors, which are designed for important tasks like managing batteries, controlling motors, and converting power. These resistors meet strict standards set by AEC-Q200, ensuring their quality. They can handle high amounts of power and have very low resistance values, going down to 3mΩ. They're made using special thick-film materials that resist electricity well, and they're designed to fit into circuits efficiently, taking up less space compared to older models like the LRF3W. They come in a range of resistance values from 3 to 100mΩ with a 1% tolerance, ensuring they accurately sense current flow. Additionally, they have a low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 100ppm/°C, which means their performance remains consistent over a wide range of temperatures.

The LRF4W resistors help measure electric current accurately in PCB assemblies, which are the boards inside electronic devices. This accurate measurement helps control how much energy the devices use. These resistors can handle situations where too much current flows through them for up to 5 seconds without getting damaged. They also react quickly to sudden increases in current, which helps them handle faults in the electronic system. Because they can handle high levels of current and are small, they make electronic devices more reliable and save space on the PCB, especially in designs with a lot of electricity flowing through them.
