USB to RS485 Converter Adapter
The USB to RS485 Converter Adapter Module provides an easy-to-use RS485 Interface by adding a Virtual COM Port to a PC. This is a fully automatic plug-and-play USB module that can be connected to a PC via the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and provides a USB to RS-485 protocol conversion with automatic RS-485 flow control. This industry-based module operates on a differential signaling method of measurement rather than voltage measurement with respect to GND pins.
Features and Specifications
- USB to RS485 Converter Adapter can be supported on systems like Windows 7, Windows XP, Linux, etc.
- Power Supply: Not required
- Compatibility: USB 2.0, USB1.1
- Baud Rate: 75 bps to 115200 bps.
- Maximum Baud Rate: Upto 6 Mbps
USB to RS485 Converter Overview
The USB to RS485 Converter has 74HC00D IC, MAX485 IC, and a CH430 IC and a clock crystal without markings. The 74HC00D IC is a quad 2-input NAND gate having clamp diodes at its input. This enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages in excess of operating voltage.

Working
The USB to RS485 Converter module can be operated on a different signaling method of measurement rather than voltage measurement with respect to GND pin. The RS485 signals can be transmitted over a positive signal line and a negative signal line. The receiver compares the voltage difference between both lines. The data can be transmitted through this USB to RS485 converter from the devices that have USB protocol.
Applications
USB to RS485 converter Adapter can be used in:
- Can be used to establish communications in LED Displays
- Reading and Writing of data in PLC machines.
- RS485 port device parameter settings and data communication.
- Centralized control of household electrical appliances
2D Model and Dimensions
