High-Performance XENSIV IM67D130A MEMS Microphone for Harsh Automotive Applications
Infineon Technologies has introduced the XENSIV IM67D130A, a microphone qualified for automotive applications that helps in simplifying the design-in efforts for the industry and reduce the risk of qualification fails. With a high operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, the device has a high acoustic overload point (AOP) of 130 dB SPL allows the microphone to capture distortion-free audio signals in loud and harsh automotive environmental conditions.
The IM67D130A is suitable for in-cabin applications such as hands-free systems, emergency calls, in-cabin communication, and active noise cancellation (ANC). It can also be used in exterior applications such as siren or road condition detection.
With a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 67dB and an exceptionally low distortion level, the device can offer optimum speech quality and superior speech intelligence for applications based on speech recognition. The tight sensitivity matching of the device provides optimized beamforming algorithms for multi-microphone arrays.
