Surface Mount Resettable PPTC Fuse for Overcurrent and Overvoltage Protection in Portable Applications
Littelfuse Inc. has introduced the PolySwitch zepto SMDC series, a new series of PPTCs that provides robust overcurrent and overvoltage protection on the signal lines for both the lithium-ion battery pack ICs and fuel gauge.
The New PPTCs were designed to help make the next generations of today’s most-used consumer electronics smaller and more reliable. They are available in a small 0201 surface-mount size, hence they are suitable to be used in smaller mobile and wearable product designs. The PPTCs can also be used in high voltage (13VDC) applications.
The new PPTCs can be used in many consumer electronics applications such as smartphones, Notebook PCs, Tablet, and e-Readers, wearables (Smartwatches, Fitness Trackers), Wireless Speakers, Portable game players, portable medical equipment and Mobile point-of-sale (POS).
