Recom has introduced the REM60-W series, a cutting-edge DC/DC converter that offers an impressive output power of 60W. This high-grade medical-certified solution comes in a compact board-mount format with an industry-standard pin-out, making it both convenient and versatile. to meet the demands of the medical and critical industrial markets, the REM60-W series delivers unparalleled levels of safety certification. With its exceptional performance and power density, it sets the bar for quality and reliability in the industry.

The REM60-W series features two input ranges: 9-36VDC and 18-75VDC. It provides a range of single and dual outputs, including 5V, 5.1V, 12V, 15V, 24V +/-12V, and +/-15V, all of which are tightly regulated. Despite its compact size of just 2.3" x 1.5" x 0.5" (57.9 x 36.8 x 12.7mm), this converter achieves remarkable power density, setting an industry standard. With efficiency peaking at over 90%, it can operate in temperatures up to 105°C ambient with some derating, even less with proper airflow.

The REM60-W series holds multiple certifications to guarantee medical safety and compliance. It is certified to the IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1:14 standards, enabling its use in global markets. Moreover, it meets the EMI immunity requirements of EN 60601-1-2 for medical equipment. To meet EN 55032 Class A and B limits for conducted noise, simple external filters can be employed. The converter is designed for operation at altitudes up to 5000m and in a pollution degree 2 (PD2) environment. With a high MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of over 1 million hours, according to MIL-HDBK-217F under Ground Benign conditions at 25°C, reliability is ensured.
