The Next-Generation Open-Source ESP32-S3 AIoT Kit for Prototyping New Projects and Crafting Intricate IoT Systems
Espressif Systems has introduced the ESP32-S3-BOX-3, an addition to its development kit range aimed at enhancing prototyping and IoT system building. This AIoT development kit is built upon the ESP32-S3 AI SoC and is powered by the ESP32-S3 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5 (LE) SoC with AI acceleration capabilities, featuring 16MB of Quad flash, 16MB of Octal PSRAM, and 512KB SRAM.
A significant feature of the ESP32-S3-BOX-3 is the integration of Espressif's ESP-SR speech recognition framework, allowing it to operate as an offline AI voice assistant. It offers far-field voice interaction, wake-up interruption, and recognition of over 200 customizable command words. The kit includes components like a 2.4-inch touch screen, digital microphones, speaker, Type-C port, and high-density PCIe connector, offering adaptability for various applications.
Additionally, the ESP32-S3-BOX-3 is compatible with the Matter protocol, enhancing communication and control capabilities across a range of smart devices.
