The Advanced Automotive-Grade High-Sensitivity Hall-Effect Latches for Precise Motor Control and Position Sensing
Diodes Incorporated has announced the launch of a new line of automotive-compliant, low-voltage, high-sensitivity Hall-effect latches. The AH171xQ series of devices has been specifically designed for demanding automotive and industrial applications, including brushless DC (BLDC) motor commutation speed measurement, angular or linear encoders, and position sensors.
The AH171xQ series offers a range of device options, each with three high-sensitivity settings: +/-7Gauss, +/-18Gauss, and +/-50Gauss. These options provide precise and reliable switching points, thanks to their tight operating windows. With a fast 30kHz sensing bandwidth, these latches support high rotational speed-sensing. Additionally, they boast excellent protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) with ratings of 8kV human body model (HBM) and 2kV charge device model (CDM), ensuring robust operation.
Designed to meet the stringent requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade 0, the AH171xQ series latches incorporate a chopper-stabilized architecture and an internal regulator with temperature compensation. These optimizations enable reliable operation across a broad supply range of 2.4V to 5.5V and a wide temperature range of -40 to +150°C. Manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities and supporting PPAP documentation, these latches adhere to the highest quality standards.
