RX261/RX260 MCUs with Advance Touch IP to deliver Energy Efficiency and Advanced Security for Domestic and Industrial Needs
Renesas Electronics Corporation released the new power-efficient, water-resistant RX261 and RX260 series of MCUs. The new MCUs are designed to enhance touch sensors, water resistance, and give consumers reliable security. Ensuring being in the fore front of energy-efficient design. These versatile features enable the designers to easily implement these MCUs in home appliances, smart locks, buildings, and factory automation. The energy-optimized performance in the RX261 and RX260 series of MCUs is achieved by the Renesas’ RXv3 CPU core, enabling 355CoreMark at 64 MHz. Thus, delivering outstanding power efficiency of only 69 μA/MHz during active operation and an impressive 1 μA in standby mode. Consequently, reducing energy consumption during the intermediate operation. These low-power features help customers meet strict energy regulations for home appliances and extend the operating time of battery-powered applications.
Renesas’ high noise immunity and water resistance are achieved through third-generation capacitive touch IP (CTSU2SL), which allows the user to implement touch sensors in kitchen appliances and outdoor equipment. The automatic judgment function lowers the current consumption during intermittent operation by turning on touch detections even in the standby mode. Additionally, Renesas’ robust security is provided by Renesas Secure IP (RSIP-E11A), providing flash protection functions. Which will give protection for users from unauthorized data falsification and eavesdropping by attackers. In addition, RX261MCUs provide features such as Full-speed USB function controller with a high-speed on-chip oscillator (HOCO) that eliminates the need for external crystals to generate an accurate USB clock. Along with A CAN FD module with fast and reliable communication and an 8 KB data flash, enabling customers to eliminate the need for an external EEPROM.
