RHV2/3 - 2W and 3W DC-DC converters with 20KVDC Isolation for High Voltage Applications
RECOM has launched its new unregulated DC/DC converters RHV2 and RHV3 in a compact SIP16 Package that features ultra-high isolation and more than 30mm input-to-output pin separation. The difference between the two converters is that RHV2 provides 2W up to 85°C, whereas RHV3 provides up to 3W at 80°C without derating the load. Both the versions have similar features like nominal input voltage of 5V,12V or 24V single or +/-5 or +/-12V dual outputs. The isolation ratings are 12.5kVAC/one minute or 20kVDC/one second. The isolated DC/DC converters applications are fit for very high voltage isolation applications such as high vacuum monitoring, X-Ray equipment, HVAC dust extraction systems, and industrial application; where very high isolation remote power supply is required.
Features of RHV2 and RHV3 DC/DC converters:
- Nominal input voltage – 5, 12 or 24V
- Selectivity between 5, 12 or 24 single or +/-5 or +/-12V dual outputs
- Ultra-high isolation ratings of 12.5KVAC/one minute or 20KVDC/one second
- SIP16 package
- Efficiency up to 81.5%
- Very high reliability with MTBF at 14.6M hours for the RHV2 series and 25°C and 13.4M hours for RHV3
Note: More technical details on the product RHV2 can be found in the datasheet, which is provided at the bottom of this page.
The company claims that the efficiency of its products is up to 81.5%, isolation capacitance is very low at 4pF typical and the parts comply with EN55032 (class B) EMI limits with a simple external LC input filter. Reliability is very high with MTBF at 14.6M hours for the RHV2 series at 25°C, and 13.4M hours for RHV3. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
