RECOM has introduced the cost-effective REC5K-RW series, expanding its REC5K lineup. offering a cost-effective and highly reliable solution for demanding applications. This new addition operates over an impressive 4:1 input range (9 – 36VDC), delivering a single, low-noise regulated 5V output rated at 1A when the input voltage falls within the range of 18-36VDC. When the input voltage is between 12-18VDC, it provides 4A, and at 9-12VDC, it offers 3A. The REC5K-RW is capable of operating under challenging conditions, with an ambient temperature range from -40°C to 110°C, and it can endure harsh environments up to 5000m altitude, making it ideal for industrial applications.

This product is certified to meet IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 standards, featuring isolation ratings of 4kV/1 second and 2kVAC/1 minute. Additionally, it complies with conducted EMC ‘Class B’ requirements, achieved with a straightforward external input filter. With reliability exceeding 1.7MHrs, according to MIL-HDBK-217F (Ground Benign), it's a dependable choice. The REC5K-RW provides protection against input under-voltage and output short circuits, ensuring safe and efficient operation. It also offers a remote on/off control, allowing the part to enter a standby state with minimal power consumption, typically drawing only 3mA. The series extension is targeted at demanding applications that require high performance and a wide input range while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
