RACM Series of 16W Encapsulated & Compact AC/DC Power Supplies for Smart Energy Systems
The RACM series of encapsulated board-mount AC/DC power supplies offer components rated at 16W, housed in a compact 52.7 x 27.6 x 23mm package with an option for flying wire termination. These power supplies handle a wide input range from 85VAC to 305VAC, making them suitable for nominal inputs of 100-277VAC, and also support 120-430VDC for universal applications. They provide various output options, including 3.3V (12W rated), 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, and 30V, all fully regulated with a constant current limit that can handle non-linear loads.
The RACM16E-K/277 series is certified to IEC 62368, IEC 61558, and EN 60335 standards, ensuring safety and reliability. For medical use, it meets UL/IEC/EN 60601 standards and is rated 2MOPP for up to 5000 meters altitude in over-voltage category II environments, and 2MOOP for up to 4000 meters in over-voltage category III. It also complies with the patient applied-part BF touch current specification. The series meets the EN 55032 Class B EMI limit with a floating load and consumes less than 100mW when not under load, aligning with eco-design requirements.
These power supplies are efficient even at light loads and operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C, with derating starting at 60°C or higher depending on the output variant. The series includes protection features such as output over-voltage, over-load, and short-circuit protection with a ‘hiccup’ mode. The RACM series is ideal for various applications, including housekeeping power in EV chargers, industrial automation, lighting, IoT devices, medical equipment, and smart energy systems.
