Littelfuse, Inc. has announced the high-voltage optically-isolated MOSFET gate that requires no external power supply and can provide fast load turn-on speeds in the order of tens of microseconds. The CPC1596 570V Optically Isolated Load-Biased Gate Driver eliminates the need for an Opto-gate driver auxiliary power supply and boosts external MOSFET start-up speed by using load-biasing. It is specifically designed for low-duty-cycle switching and low-frequency operation of external power MOSFETs with 4nF of gate capacitance. This device suits a wide range of applications including industrial controls, automatic test equipment (ATE), HVAC controls, medical devices, and IoT.
