KYOCERA AVX has introduced the new AEVA and AEVB Series of aluminium electrolytic capacitors, specifically engineered to address the demanding conditions of harsh industrial environments. As a leading global manufacturer of advanced electronic components, KYOCERA AVX developed these series to overcome the mechanical stress challenges that have historically limited the application of aluminium electrolytic capacitors in industrial settings.

These new capacitors are distinguished by their compact, surface-mount form factors and robust design, delivering high-CV and long-lifetime performance. A key differentiator is their innovative construction, featuring unique plastic supports and specialised termination shapes that significantly improve vibration performance and maximise soldering area, thereby increasing board mounting strength. This design enables them to reliably withstand up to 30g acceleration and operate across wide temperature ranges, setting them apart from conventional can-type aluminium electrolytics.

Availability

The new KYOCERA AVX AEVA and AEVB Series vibration-proof aluminum electrolytic capacitors are currently available for ordering, with selected part numbers available for immediate supply. The AEVA Series is offered in five case sizes, with ratings from 6.3–100VDC and capacitance values from 10μF to 4,700μF, while the AEVB Series is available in four case sizes, rated from 16–50VDC with capacitance values from 47μF to 2,200μF. Both series are supplied on 15-inch reels and are designed for automated placement and reflow soldering.
