Miniaturized High Power Low Ohmic Chip GMR320 Shunt Resistors for Accurate Current Detection in High Power Applications
The 10W power rated GMR320 series of shunt resistors is now available from ROHM for high power applications in automotive, industrial equipment, and home appliances. The 5mΩ to 100mΩ resistance value range and the 10W power rating makes them ideal for automotive engine ECUs and headlamps as well as motors and power supplies for industrial equipment and home appliances.
The unique structure and optimized material of the device reduce the surface temperature rise by 23%, this ensures high ruggedness against overcurrent loads even though it is small in size. The high-performance metal alloy of the resistive material provides a Low-Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) of ±25ppm/°C, this limits the resistance drift due to heating-up to about half that of standard products providing reliable and highly accurate current detection even at low resistance values.
