M2003 Series - Advanced 32-Bit Microcontroller at 8-Bit Cost for Optimal Project Efficiency
Nuvoton Technology has introduced its M2003 series of 32-bit microcontrollers, built on the Arm® Cortex®-M23 core. This series is well-suited for many applications, including industrial automation, smart home systems, automotive electronics, and energy storage. It delivers the performance needed for these tasks at a lower cost compared to traditional 8-bit microcontrollers.
The M2003 series delivers powerful computing capabilities with a clock speed of up to 24 MHz, 32 KB of Flash memory, and 4 KB of SRAM. It supports a wide voltage range (2.4V to 5.5V) and operates in extreme temperatures from -40°C to 105°C. Key features include a 32-bit hardware multiplier/divider, 4 sets of 32-bit timers, and a range of communication interfaces such as UART, I²C, and a universal serial control interface that can be configured for UART, SPI, or I²C. It also includes rich analog peripherals, like an 8-channel 12-bit ADC and a 6-channel 16-bit PWM, all within a compact 20-pin package (TSSOP20 or QFN20).
Nuvoton’s M2003 series simplifies development with the NuTool - CodeGenerator, which streamlines project setup and system configuration. This tool, compatible with popular IDEs like Keil, IAR, and NuEclipse, helps reduce development time and improve efficiency. The series supports easy firmware updates through ISP and IAP methods and integrates seamlessly with the NuMaker-M2003FC development board and Nu-Link debugger, offering a complete development ecosystem for a wide range of applications.
