Infineon Unveils EZ-USB FX10

Infineon Technologies AG introduces the latest addition to its EZ-USB™ family, the EZ-USB FX10. This programmable USB peripheral controller offers swift connectivity with USB 10Gbps and LVDS interfaces, tripling the total bandwidth compared to its predecessor. Equipped with dual ARM® Cortex®-M4 and M0+ core CPUs, cryptography accelerator, and high-bandwidth data subsystem, the EZ-USB FX10 facilitates direct memory access data transfers at speeds up to 10 Gbps. Its compact the 10 x 10 mm² BGA package makes it an excellent choice for space-constrained applications, and its support for USB-C direct connection without a high-speed signal multiplexer further simplifies the design process. The controller's comprehensive features make it an ideal choice for developers seeking a powerful and adaptable USB solution.

The EZ-USB FX10 boasts a robust architecture, featuring dual ARM® Cortex®-M4 and M0+ core CPUs, a 512 KB flash, a 128 KB SRAM, and a 128 KB ROM. Additionally, it incorporates seven serial communication blocks (SCBs), a cryptography accelerator, and a high-bandwidth data subsystem. The latter facilitates direct memory access (DMA) data transfers between LVDS/LVCMOS and USB ports at impressive speeds of up to 10 Gbps. To support these data transfers, an additional 1 MB of SRAM is dedicated to USB data buffering.
