Infineon Introduces TRAVEO™ T2G Cluster Microcontrollers for Advanced Automotive Graphics
Infineon Technologies has introduced its TRAVEO T2G Cluster family of automotive microcontrollers with a cutting-edge graphic engine, optimized for high-performance automotive graphics applications. These MCUs offer a compact design, simplifying OEM integration and reducing Bill of Materials (BOM) costs, making them an excellent choice for advanced smart mobility instrument clusters, heads-up displays in automotive, motorcycle, and off-highway mobility applications, as well as industrial and medical systems demanding quality and safety. These devices can partner with intelligent cockpit processors, ensuring rapid startup times and efficient graphics processing. The optimized 2.5D graphics engine supports high-resolution virtual instrument clusters (up to 1920 x 1080). Additionally, engineering samples are available for a new T2G-C series MCU that can handle complex 3D scenes.
Powered by up to two Arm Cortex-M7 cores with speeds up to 320 MHz, the TRAVEO T2G family ensures ASIL-B/SIL-2 safety performance. They come with ample Flash and VRAM options and offer advanced security features. The wide range of package options includes CAN-FD, LIN, Gigabit Ethernet, and CXPI as embedded peripherals. These MCUs provide exceptional graphics capabilities, paired with certified Human Machine Interface (HMI) tools, empowering developers to optimize their applications.
