2.8W High Power Speaker AMP ICs for Vehicles Instrument Clusters with Autonomous Driving and ADAS
ROHM introduced the BD783xxEFJ-M series, 2.8W output class AB monaural speaker amplifiers ideal for instrument clusters used in vehicles equipped with autonomous driving and ADAS. The series includes AEC-Q100 qualified BD78306EFJ-M, BD78310EFJ-M, and BD78326EFJ-M. The new series has been introduced to satisfy the requirements of different varieties of sounds in autonomous driving and ADAS.
The BD783xxEFJ-M series can help in generating various sound outputs at high volume, including warning sounds, turn signals, welcome tones, and voice guidance. The device has adopted a new type of overcurrent protection (OCP) circuit that protects against output shorts (damage due to accidental terminal contact) to deliver high 2.8W output that was difficult to achieve in the past, making it possible to deliver high 2.8W output. The built-in thermal shutdown and under-voltage lockdown (UVLO) ensures high-reliability protection against abnormal conditions.
